John Paschall was confirmed today by the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau in Southeast Texas to serve as its next President/CEO beginning January 1, 2012.  He will succeed Michael Clayton who is retiring from the BBB at the end of this year.  Paschall will serve as President/CEO–Elect beginning November 15.

            Paschall, a Kirbyville native, was selected following a three-month nation-wide search and interview process by a special committee of the BBB Board.  He will be coming to southeast Texas from the Better Business Bureau office in Ft. Worth, where he has served as the Operations Manager for the last three years.

            Prior to joining the BBB in 2008, Paschall worked for UPS in various supervisory roles across the DFW metroplex.  He received his masters degree from Texas Christian University and his bachelor degree from State University of New York, Regents College.  Paschall also holds three professional certifications in human resource management, and is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church.

            Clayton will be leaving the BBB after a successful 15-year career to enter private business as a professional speaker, corporate trainer, and business consultant.  As the “Ambassador for Trust,” he will work closely with the Better Business Bureau organization across North America.   Paschall will join Clayton the last six-weeks of this year as part of a planned transition strategy.
