The team at the Better Business Bureau in Southeast Texas received a newly created award from the Best Practices & Mentoring Subcommittee this year in recognition of having the highest market share of BBB Accredited Businesses in 2010 – 17.8%!! President/CEO Michael Clayton was presented with the BBB’s Award during the Outstanding BBB Awards Celebration at Assembly in Seattle this past September. The BBB in Southeast Texas has had many successful programs that have allowed their BBB to achieve such an outstanding building of relationships in their community.
The Better Business Bureau in Southeast Texas is considered a Category 1 BBB Office having up to 15,000 businesses in the BBB Service Region. The average number of BBB Accredited Businesses in Category 1 is 954. The BBB in Southeast Texas, as of October 18, 2011, has 1,831. The average market share is 9.6%; the BBB in Southeast Texas has 17.8%.
