Senior Celebration was a HUGE Success!

The 12th Southeast Texas SENIOR CELEBRATION and Consumer Expo was held on Thursday, October 27, from 8:30am to 2:30pm at the Beaumont Civic Center.  It attracted, helped, and entertained over 2,000 people from across Southeast Texas.  The expo featured over 100 booth exhibitors, BINGO, health screenings, a style show, special presentations, refreshments, classic cars, door prizes, lots of valuable information, and fun!

Special thanks to the event partner, Home Instead Senior Care.  Their support was crucial to the Senior Celebration.  They also provided the parking lot shuttle, which helped so many consumers.  TexanPlus/Universal American sponsored the stage this year and Altus HealthCare sponsored the lobby.  The local media was very supportive through interviews and news coverage, especially KFDM-Channel 6 and Clear Channel Radio who ran commercials on their station(s).

National singer/impressionist Kevin Adams and his “Revue of the Stars” was a huge hit at the event.  Adams was recently awarded Gigmasters “Rising Star” award for the top impersonator for 2010.  His unique one-man variety/comedy/musical tribute show included impressions of Sammy Davis Jr., Willie Nelson, Buddy Holly, Stevie Wonder, Sonny & Cher, Elvis, and more!

More big thanks to Beaumont Mayor Becky Ames, the Boot Scooters, the Happy Steppers, Kevin Adams and Yesterdays Entertainment, Bobby Joshua and J.C. Penney - Parkdale Mall, the celebrity models, the Spirit of SETX Chorus - Sweet Adelines, ACES Classic Car Club, "Happy the Clown", the BBB Directors, and the RSVP Volunteers for making the Senior Celebration & Consumer Expo another huge success!

The Better Business Bureau and its Consumer Education Foundation, Inc., created, organized, hosted, provided personnel, and funded the event.  Congratulations to Atria Collier Park, winner of the FREE booth for the 2012 Senior Celebration, which will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012.
