The Better Business Bureau in Southeast Texas will host ‘Cake at the Lake’ on Thursday, September 19, at The Event Centre in Beaumont from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.  The event will be a part of the ongoing 50-year celebration of the BBB and the first-ever Hall of Fame Induction. 

Businesses that are accredited by the BBB will enjoy live music from Jimmy Simmons & Friends, hors d’oeuvres, cupcakes, a cash bar, and tons of door prizes from BBB Accredited Businesses like Conn's HomePlus, Cheddar's, MCM Elegante' Hotel and Conference Center, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Classic Southeast Texas, Tibideaux's New Orleans Kitchen, Manning's Office Solutions, Lone Star Indoor Gun Range, Texas Coffee Company, American Personnel & Temps, Calder's Mane Event & Day Spa, and MORE!  Doors open at 5:30pm with the Hall of Fame Induction champagne toast at 6:30pm. 

“Our ‘Cake at the Lake’ event is a first-ever event for our BBB, done in conjunction with our 50th Anniversary Celebration.  Our Accredited Businesses do so much for our BBB and our community by serving as models of Ethical Business Practices on a daily basis,” said BBB President/CEO John Paschall.  “This event is designed to thank them, celebrate them as businesses advancing marketplace trust, and to provide them a fun, networking opportunity filled with food, fun, music, and a number of surprises.  In addition, we want to highlight the induction of our 13 Charter Accredited Businesses into our inaugural Hall of Fame class.  With Jimmy Simmons providing the musical entertainment, this is destined to be a night to remember.”
